LNBTI Enlightens Educators on Opportunities in Japan
LNBTI, the Japanese IT University, hosted an informative session for teachers and principals from the Colombo area on December 15th, 2023. The primary objective was to apprise them of the promising opportunities available in Japan for Sri Lankan students. LNBTI presented its unique offerings, including the option for students to pursue an IT Honours Degree in Sri Lanka and the subsequent prospect of securing an IT job in Japan upon graduation. Integral to the session was the introduction of Toshiyuki Sadoi Sensei, LNBTI’s recently appointed Japanese Senior Lecturer, tasked with guiding students through Japanese language and culture, preparing them for a seamless integration into the Japanese IT industry.

Ms. Chio Horiuchi, from Japan, recently visited LNBTI, the Japanese IT university in Sri Lanka. During her engaging session, she interacted with undergraduate students, offering valuable insights into life in Japan. The students were particularly impressed by her firsthand accounts of how Japanese technology is seamlessly integrated into day-to-day services. Ms. Horiuchi’s visit not only broadened the students’ cultural understanding but also sparked enthusiasm for the innovative technological landscape in Japan.

In a captivating display of cultural exchange, students from LNBTI presented a mesmerizing Bon Dance performance ton Rupavahini Corporation’s “Irida Ayubowan” TV program. Adding to the prestige of the occasion, His Excellency Mizukoshi Hideaki, the Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka, and the Vice-chancellor of LNBTI Prof. Ananda Kumara graced the program with their presence. The LNBTI students’ graceful Bon Dance not only showcased their cultural appreciation but also highlighted the harmonious blend of Sri Lankan and Japanese traditions on national television.

Interactive Session for ICT students in Anuradhapura
The Vice Chancellor of LNBTI visited Anuradhapura on 8th December 2023 to address students who had just completed their O/Ls. The gathered students and parents were notably impressed with Japan’s opportunities for LNBTI graduates. Adding a touch of cultural exchange, two Japanese natives, Ms. Naoko Koizumi and Ms. Chei Horiuchi, joined the gathering, bridging the gap and fostering a deeper understanding between the two nations. The visit served as a motivational session, enlightening students about the exciting prospects that await them through LNBTI’s academic pathways and international collaborations.

LNBTI recently hosted an Open Day, on 7th December 2023, extending a warm welcome to students who had just completed their O/L examinations. The event drew enthusiastic participation from students and parents eager to get to know the opportunities available in Japan after O/Ls. A highlight of the day was the inspiring address by Kumudri Goonatilake, a successful LNBTI alumna currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering at Aizu University in Japan. She shared her journey and the invaluable opportunities she gained from LNBTI.
LNBTI Hosts Delegation from Saitama Institute of Technology, Japan for Collaborative Ventures
On December 6th, 2023, Lanka Nippon BizTech Institute (LNBTI) had the honor of hosting two esteemed professors from the Saitama Institute of Technology. The primary objective of their visit was to explore possibilities for fostering collaboration between the students of LNBTI and Saitama Institute of Technology. During their visit, discussions centered around organizing a special interaction session between the two institutes, with plans underway to bring 20 students from Saitama Institute of Technology to Sri Lanka in March 2024. The envisioned interactive study mission aims to provide a unique opportunity to students in both countries.
