LNBTI Open Day for Students after A/Ls!

LNBTI hosted an open day for after A/Ls students on February 7th, 2024, from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm. Around 40 students, along with their parents, joined the event to learn more about the study and career opportunities at LNBTI. The open day was a great success, providing attendees with valuable insights into LNBTI’s programs, facilities, and opportunities to become IT professionals in Japan. It was an excellent opportunity for students and parents to explore the institute and make informed decisions about their future academic endeavors.

Colombo Teacher Training Session on “Modern Trends and Emerging Innovations in Education”

On February 2nd, 2024, Lanka Nippon BizTech Institute (LNBTI) organized a comprehensive training session tailored for school principals and teachers on Modern Trends and Emerging Innovations in Education. The event took place from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Renuka City Hotel in Colombo 03. Throughout the day, participants delved into key areas essential for modern education: Enhancing Techniques & Innovative Skills for teaching Incorporating Problem-Based Learning methodologies Increasing Awareness of current trends in Education This session aimed to equip educators with the latest insights and strategies to enhance teaching practices and adapt to the evolving landscape of education. For the first time, three of our students, Malhami Arachchige Sadeeka Tharushi Nethminie, Aththanayakage Dewmi Kavinya, and Kuda Udage Vidushan Prabash, have received an incredible opportunity to join the Kanazawa Institute of Technology (KIT) to continue their higher studies and graduate. KIT, a premier university in Japan, is renowned for its exceptional project-based learning and strong ties with the IT industry.

LNBTI’s Landmark Event with Japan: A High-End Delegation Visit

The exclusive Japanese higher education institute in South Asia, LNBTI, celebrated a significant milestone on January 12, 2024, with the arrival of a distinguished delegation from Japan. Headed by H.E. Mr. SUZUKI Shunichi, Minister of Finance, and H.E. Mr. MIZUKOSHI Hideaki, Ambassador of Japan, this visit underscores the importance of strengthening ties between the two nations. The delegation, which included 12 additional dignitaries, aimed at exploring career prospects for LNBTI graduates within Japanese corporations, highlighting their satisfaction with LNBTI’s educational model. This visit not only fosters opportunities for LNBTI students in international careers but also enhances the educational bonds between the countries.

Pedagogical Training for LNBTI Staff

LNBTI organized a special training session for its academic staff on December 28th, 2024. The training focused on improving teaching methods, known as Pedagogical Training, and aimed to enhance the quality of education provided by the institute. The session was conducted by YouLead. All academic staff members participated in the full-day training program, which ran from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. It was a valuable opportunity for the staff to learn new techniques and strategies to enrich their teaching practices and benefit their students. During the training program, several important areas were covered to enhance teaching practices and educational methodologies: Introduction to Vocational Pedagogy – (Why Pedagogy is Important to Teachers/ Lectures) Developing Training Objectives Professionalism ethics and best practices Industry Guidance to Students Learning Cycle & Adult Learning Principles Learning Styles Mastery Learning & Task Analysis Teaching techniques Cooperative learning Feedback Assessment Teachers’ Soft skills development By covering these diverse areas, the training aimed to equip LNBTI’s academic staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver high-quality education and support the holistic development of their students.

Organized and presented with sheer brilliance by the Media Club and Student Activity Club, HOLIDAZE’23 transformed the Viluxey City Hotel into a hub of joy on December 21, 2023. The event was a dazzling showcase of talents, bringing together students, faculty, and staff for an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, performances, and shared moments. A heartfelt appreciation goes out to the incredible students who poured their heart and soul into making HOLIDAZE’23 a resounding success, overcoming hurdles with determination and passion.
