LNBTI becomes Sri Lanka’s first and only Japanese Higher Education Institute to feature a Japanese job-oriented programme, approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE). Selecting the right institute for a student’s future goes beyond simple books and curriculum, and instead must be looked at as a training ground that pushes them to be drivers of change for a better tomorrow.  Combining the hallmarks of Japanese culture with a carefully curated degree programme, studying at LNBTI ensures that students are equipped with the necessary skills and training to pursue rewarding career opportunities in the field of IT in Japan. LNBTI is the only Japanese higher education institute in South Asia to offer quality IT degree programmes with an arrangement of professional and permanent employment in the Japanese IT industry. The institute’s strong relationship with professional Japanese business counterparts owes in part to the synergies between its parent companies Metatechno Inc, Japan and hSenid Group of Companies, Sri Lanka. The same synergies have helped form strong relationships with reputed organizations in Japan and locally, many with Japanese origin. This in turn has created a network to supplement the various industrial internships offered in LNBTI’s degree programs; most of which inevitably retain graduates as part of their permanent cadre. LNBTI is the first to introduce this type of “study in Sri Lanka and work in Japan as an IT professional” model in Sri Lanka. As a highly developed nation, Japan has much to offer Sri Lankan students and professionals. As a country rich in age old history and tradition, the Japanese way of life imbibes a sense of discipline that is invaluable to a student’s personal and professional life. Immersive educational, cultural and Japanese language exposure at the LNBTI campus, ensures students are exposed to a greater worldview in addition to new ways of thinking and problem-solving. This not only helps them at the university level but also allows them to develop the skills and knowledge that contribute to their careers especially placements overseas and when pursuing careers in a multicultural and multinational environment. As an industry that demands the skills of critical thinkers, LNBTI’s BSc (Hons) Software Engineering programme promotes international collaboration which invites a host of opportunities for our nation’s youth. LNBTI’s strong partnerships with Japanese Universities & industry have helped facilitate knowledge sharing, student exchange, and international collaborative research projects which act as a catalyst for academic and scientific accomplishments.  As a developing nation which is home to talented youngsters, LNBTI’s programmes act as a stepping stone to push Sri Lanka beyond its limitations in pursuit of a better future for all. ABOUT LANKA NIPPON BIZ TECH INSTITUTE (LNBTI) Established in 2016 as part of a joint venture between Metatechno Inc, Japan and hSenid Group of Companies, Lanka Nippon Biz Tech Institute (LNBTI) continues to set a benchmark in the field of IT study. Located in the heart of Maharagama, LNBTI is the only institute in South Asia to offer unique degree pathways in Software Engineering and Information Technology, combined with an authentic Japanese learning culture, aimed at a Japanese career opportunity. MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN This will be the significant turning point in our long-term collaboration with the Sri Lankan education system to bring the two nations closer in all possible ways. I’m looking forward to seeing more and more young Sri Lankan graduates arrive in Japan and contribute to the development of the two economies through this programme in the coming years.
