Tokyo Institute of Technology staff makes a visit to MetaTechno Co. Ltd (LNBTI’s Mother company) to discuss further collaborative activities
Three person delegation led by Professor Ota and Prof. Nishizaki of the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TokyoTech) visited the Meta Techno Co Ltd, the mother company of LNBTI in Musashi Kosugi near Tokyo to discuss future collaborations with the LNBTI. TokyoTech is considered one of the best universities for Science and Engineering Education. In addition to the undergraduate programs, graduate programs have received a higher recognition both nationally and globally. LNBTI students received opportunities to participate in joint lessons and workshops with TokyoTech and with their counterpart universities like Georgia Institute of Technology and Chulalongkorn University. During the above joint classes, our students participated actively for discussion sessions on topics such as intercultural exchange, career development and leadership The delegation from TokyoTech discussed the possibility of sending students to LNBTI for intensive training on a suitable topic to be agreed upon by both parties. The delegation emphasized that they are willing to consider creating a better relationship with the LNBTI due to two main reasons: (1) LNBTI is the first higher education of degree level established with Japanese investment in the whole South Asia. (2) LNBTI Vice Chancellor Prof. Ananda Kumara is a graduate of TokyoTech. In fact, Professor Ananda completed both Masters and Doctors in the engineering field at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and later on, became a professor of TokyoTech. This discussion session was attended by Mr. Koga Michio, Chairman, Mr. Ikura Kazuyuki also, in addition to Professor Ananda Kumara, Vice Chancellor of LNBTI.
Free Seminar on Embedded Software & IT Industry from JASA
For teachers and students who are interested in Embedded Software and IT industry from Japanese and Sri Lankan IT experts! APPLY NOW! This Special seminar was held on the 2nd of November 2022 from 9am onwards. Students who are keen on both the Embedded software technology & IoT took part in this session. The Guest speakers for the session were:- Mr Takebe Katsushi, Executive Director of Japan Embedded Systems Technology Association (JASA)- Dr. Manodha Gamage, Managing Director – ISaC (Pvt.) Ltd | Consultant, Senior Lecturer & Trainer in Telecommunications. After the main sessions, Mr Chandana Deshapriya, a Senior IT Leacturer of LNBTI conducted an IoT session at LNBTI computer lab where the students were able to gain a hands-on experience in working with the technical tools
Embedded Software Orientation Program 2022
Welcoming the Newly joined Embedded program Students of the levels of Beginner and Advanced was held on 1st of November 2022 at LNBTI Enthusiastic students who are keen on learning Embedded software technology joined these programs which are conducted by the Japanese Government. WATCH HERE
The Inauguration Ceremony of LNBTI IT Degree Programs – October 2022
LNBTI being the first and the only Japanese higher education institute in South Asia to offer Japanese job-oriented IT Degree programmes approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE) & University Grants Commission (UGC) held its 2nd orientation for 2022 on Monday, the 31st of October at the premises to welcome the new batch of students for LNBTI degree programs for students after A/L examination which is offered by the LNBTI (UGC Approved Japanese IT Institute) & University of Greenwich, UK. To grace this occasion, Ms. Osaki Tomoko & Ms. Katayama Miya (representing the JICA Sri Lanka office) were present. It was very encouraging to witness an overwhelming number of students representing many schools in different parts of the country joining for the BSc Hons in Software Engineering, BSc Hons in Computing & BSc Hons in Information Systems respectively. The Orientation program was conducted in 2 segments as welcoming the LNBTI UGC Degree students in the morning and the University of Greenwich students in the noon. These students demonstrate a great enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to complete the programmes successfully mastering the IT knowledge & skills, Japanese language skills, excellent understanding of the Japanese working culture with many other important soft skills and eagerly looking forward to joining the Japanese IT industry as IT professionals with permanent employment upon graduation. The parents were very happy and confident with this scientifically developed program which will transform students to suit the Japanese IT industry requirements. Students and parents thanked LNBTI for developing such models which have created a proper, cost-effective, and a safe path to join the Japanese IT industry as IT professionals and to be successful in Japan with lucrative salaries, skilled Visa, and permanent employment, and other fringe benefits. Furthermore, these students will be extremely fortunate to join the lucrative and fast-growing IT industry, especially in a country like Japan which is an economic powerhouse, technologically developed country in the world that is well known for highest safety & security, high quality of life, excellent health benefits, rich Asian culture, and no discrimination. Students will commence the academic activities from 1st November 2022 at LNBTI premises.

An Interactive Session with Principals & Teachers of leading schools | Colombo
Lanka Nippon BizTech Institute the first and the only Japanese higher education institute in South Asia to offer Japanese job-oriented IT Degree programmes approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE) & University Grants Commission (UGC) conducted an interactive session for principals and teachers of leading schools in Colombo successfully at Grandbell Hotel, Colombo Prof. Ananda Kumara, the Vice Chancellor – LNBTI, Mr Ikura Kazuyuki, the Director LNBTI, Mr Ravindra Perera & Mr Dilshan Samarasekare, the Directors of LNBTI, Ms Sameera Malawige, the Head of Business Development and partnerships took part in this session representing LNBTI. During the session, LNBTI briefed about excellent Job-oriented study programmes especially the UGC-approved degree programmes, leading to a Professional Job in Japan to Principals & teachers in Colombo, which they welcomed the idea very much. The Principals and teachers who participated for this session praised LNBTI for conducting such a session that enlightened about LNBTI model which facilitates an excellent, safe and a professional path for students to obtain a 4-year Hons Degree in IT (UGC approved local Degree and UK degree) at LNBTI in Sri Lanka and permanent Jobs in a lucrative Japanese IT industry as professionals upon graduation.
