𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐍𝐁𝐓𝐈 𝐈𝐓 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬 – 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 | 𝗕𝗦𝗰 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗕𝗦𝗰 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 – 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗵, 𝗨𝗞

“LNBTI – Japanese IT University”, being the first and the only Japanese higher education university in South Asia to offer Japanese job-oriented IT Degree programmes approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE) & University Grants Commission (UGC) held its orientation on Monday, the 3rd of April, 2023 at the premises to welcome the new batch of students for LNBTI degree programs for students after A/L examination which is offered by the University of Greenwich, UK (UGC Recognized) To grace this occasion, Prof. Ananda Kumara – the Vice Chancellor of LNBTI, Prof. Hewagamage, the Academic Advisor of LNBTI (Faculty of Computing, University of Colombo) were present. It was very encouraging to witness an overwhelming number of students representing many schools in different parts of the country joining for the BSc Hons in Comouting & BSc Hons in Information Systems.These students demonstrate a great enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to complete the programmes successfully mastering the IT knowledge & skills, Japanese language skills, excellent understanding of the Japanese working culture with many other important soft skills and eagerly looking forward to joining the Japanese IT industry as IT professionals with permanent employment upon graduation. The parents were very happy and confident with this scientifically developed program which will transform students to suit the Japanese IT industry requirements. Students and parents thanked LNBTI for developing such models which have created a proper, cost-effective, and a safe path to join the Japanese IT industry as IT professionals and to be successful in Japan with lucrative salaries, skilled Visa, and permanent employment, and other fringe benefits. Furthermore, these students will be extremely fortunate to join the lucrative and fast-growing IT industry, especially in a country like Japan which is an economic powerhouse, technologically developed country in the world that is well known for highest safety & security, high quality of life, excellent health benefits, rich Asian culture, and no discrimination. Students will commence the academic activities from 17th April onwards after the New Year vacation.

Senanayake College Bandaranayake College, Gampaha Holy Cross, Gampaha President’s College, Maharagama Panadura Balika Vidyalaya Homagama Central College Vidyakara Balika Vidyalaya, the top leading schools in Colombo LNBTI met the Principals, Vice Principals, A/L ICT and Japanese teachers of the leading schools in Colombo on 24th March, 2023 at Cinnamon red Hotel, Colombo to present the opportunities in Japan for Sri Lankan students, as LNBTI is able to offer a permanent and a professional Job upon completion of Hons degree programs in IT. As the IT industry is grooming in Japan and the requirement for many IT professionals, Sri Lankan students can benefit from this opportunity by becoming IT graduates with the fluency of Japanese Language. Prof Ananda Kumara explained about the unique Japanese Job oriented degree model which is introduced to students after O/Ls & A/Ls. Prof Ananda Kumara, the Vice Chancellor – LNBTI, Mr. Ravindra Perera & Mr. Dilshan Samarasekare, the Directors of LNBTI & Ms. Sameera Malawige, the Head of Partnerships took part in this special session.

Japan’s Fruit Basket Game played by LNBTI Students

The students of LNBTI had a really good time last week and enjoyed playing the Fruit Basket Game with their peer groups… The fruit basket game is a fun game where players call out the names of fruits, switch chairs, and try not to be the last one left! The leader will call out any combination of fruit i.e. APPLES, BANANAS! etc. Each team must cross if their fruit is called. The coach may call out 1-4 fruits at a time or call out FRUIT BASKET which means all four groups must cross at the same time.

Prof. Uchida’s Lecture: “Changes in Japanese Communication in the age of Heisei and Reiwa, and characteristics of Modern Language in use”

This special lecture was conducted by Prof. Tomio Uchida, from Meisei University Japan on 22nd March 2023 via Zoom. Prof. Uchida is the Vice President of the Japan Association for Global Competency Education (JAGCE). Also, Prof Dilrukshi Rathnayaka, the Head of Modern Language Department of the University of Kelaniya joined this session as a guest commentator. It was a very interesting lecture and the participants had a very good understanding and interest in the topic. Japanese language school teachers, Kelaniya university students and LNBTI students joined this special event. Special gratitude goes to Prof. Ananda Kumara, the Vice Chancellor of LNBTI for organizing such events for Sri Lankan teachers and students.

The Executive Director of PASONA Group Inc in Japan visits LNBTI Sri Lanka

The Executive Director of Pasona Group Inc in Japan and Ms Kamata Tomoko, the Vice President of Pasona India Private Limited made a visit to LNBTI on the 21st March 2023 PASONA Group Inc, is a leader in Japanese employment and staffing solutions.During the session, they conducted a short discussion with about 30 plus students, for about 90 minutes. They inquired students about what they know about Japan and clarified the requirements when seeking job placement in Japan. In Particular, they iterated on the importance of having good Japanese knowledge.
