The students engaged in fluent, comprehensive discussions in Japanese, effortlessly without needing English translation, reflecting the rigorous training and cultural proficiency nurtured at LNBTI. Yuri Sadoi.The exercise simulated the Japanese work approach, where group activities are integralto workplace dynamics. Empowering LNBTI Students for Success in Japan’s IT Industry
The Lanka Nippon BizTech Institute (LNBTI) kicked off the New Year with a seminar titled “Pathways to Success: Insights from Industry Experts on Living and Thriving in Japan.” This gathering included current and prospective students and their parents, providing a platform to discuss succeeding in Japan’s vibrant professional landscape. Professor Yuri Sadoi from Meijo University discussed digital transformation and entrepreneurship in Japan, emphasizing the adaptation challenges and digitalization solutions for small and medium-sized industries. She encouraged students to leverage opportunities in the IT sector and consider further studies at Meijo University, noted for its academic excellence and Nobel laureates in Physics and Chemistry. Professor Ananda Kumara, Vice Chancellor of LNBTI, shared his extensive experience in Japan, focusing on building cultural and professional connections between Sri Lanka and Japan. He highlighted the importance of adaptability, trust-building, and global competence. The seminar underscored LNBTI’s dedication to preparing students for the Japanese IT industry, emphasizing academic and extracurricular excellence as keys to success.
Navigating the IT Industry in Japan: Insights from LNBTI’s “Tech-Talk” Open Day
At Lanka Nippon BizTech Institute’s “Tech-Talk” Open Day, Mr. Taranga Kumara, a Senior IT Consultant from Dirbato Co., Ltd., Japan, delivered a compelling presentation. With a unique background in Law and international relations, Mr. Taranga has carved a remarkable career path in Japan’s IT sector. He discussed the evolving fields of ESG, sustainability, and logistics, highlighting the role of IT consultants in bridging business and technology. Emphasizing the importance of starting as systems engineers, he advised on enhancing communication skills and understanding Japanese corporate culture, particularly the “Ho-Ren-So” framework. The event underscored LNBTI’s role in equipping Sri Lankan students for success in Japan’s competitive IT landscape, offering insights into emerging trends and the importance of adaptability and networking for career advancement.
