Tokyo Tech University students’ visit to LNBTI – Day 01 – Preparing Cinnamon infused Hard Candy

Students from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TokyoTech) visited LNBTI – the Japanese IT University in Sri Lanka to work on their Research, based on Sri Lankan Cinnamon. During the session, the Japanese and Sri Lankan students enjoyed preparing “𝑪𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒏𝒇𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒚 (べっこう飴𝒃𝒆𝒌𝒌𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒎𝒆) 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒃 𝒕𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒆(カルメ焼き 𝒌𝒂𝒓𝒖𝒎𝒆 𝒚𝒂𝒌𝒊)” To grace this session, Prof. Ananda Kumara – the Vice Chancellor of LNBTI and the Japanese lecturers of LNBTI were present and guided the students in both countries 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘰𝘬𝘺𝘰 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 (𝘛𝘰𝘬𝘺𝘰𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩) 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘑𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘯.

Tokyo Tech University Students’ visit to LNBTI

Students from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TokyoTech) arrived LNBTI – the Japanese IT University in Sri Lanka to work on their Research, based on Sri Lankan Cinnamon. The Tokyo Institute of Technology (TokyoTech) is considered one of the best science and engineering universities in Japan. Through these university collaborations, LNBTI – Sri Lanka would be able to strengthen its relationship with Tokyo Tech – Japan, the best science and technology university, to assist Sri Lanka through technology transfer in the long term.

Free IoT Webinar LNBTI WILL BE CONDUCTING AN IOT PRACTICAL SESSION ONLINE FOR THE A/L ICT STUDENTS. Date – Thursday, 16th March 2023Time – 9.30am – 12.30amSchool Teachers can engage ONLINE for this practical session with school students. This free IoT Practical webinar organized by LNBTI was successfully completed. It was conducted on 16th March 2023, by the institute’s well-experienced & qualified senior lecturer Mr. Chandana Deshapriya & Ms Nadeeka Dilrukshi assisted the lecturer with the Arduino practicals. The webinar was organized under the main important concepts of 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗿𝗱𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 & 𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗢 𝗜𝗗𝗘 & 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗢 𝗜𝗗𝗘 respectively, along with practicals. The main aim of this webinar was to enhance the knowledge regarding the aforementioned specific fields of the students who are willing to sit for their A/Ls in Technology subjects and make the youth well-armoured with the technological expertise of this fast-changing world. Students and ICT teachers representing different schools in the island actively participated in this programme. They were able to acquire all theoretical and technical knowledge and also they contributed to the programme by engaging themselves in practical sessions virtually. All participants appreciated LNBTI for conducting these interactive webinars on these emerging fields in the world of ICT. Being a Japanese-based IT higher education institute, our intention is to educate and develop the youth to become resourceful IT professionals who could join the IT industry in Sri Lanka, Japan or anywhere in the world.

We, LNBTI took part in Kandy Edex Expo 2023 on 4th & 5th of March 2023 at Kandy City Centre (KCC), Kandy. The teachers, students and parents who visited our exhibition stall were able to get to know the pathway to japan and how to become an IT engineer in Japan upon Graduation

Trinity College, Kandy Kingswood College, Kandy Dharmaraja College, Kandy Mahamaya Girls’ College , Kandy Girls’ High School, Kandy St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy Pushpadana Girls’ College, Kandy, the top leading schools in Kandy LNBTI met the Principals, Vice Principals, A/L ICT and Japanese teachers of the leading schools in Kandy on 4th March, 2023 at Golden Crown Hotel, Kandy to present the opportunities in Japan for Sri Lankan students, as LNBTI is able to offer a permanent and a professional Job upon completion of Hons degree programs in IT. As the IT industry is grooming in Japan and the requirement for many IT professionals, Sri Lankan students can benefit from this opportunity by becoming IT graduates with the fluency of Japanese Language. Prof Ananda Kumara explained about the unique Japanese Job oriented degree model which is introduced to students after O/Ls & A/Ls.Prof Ananda Kumara, the Vice Chancellor – LNBTI, Mr. Ikura Kazuyuki – Director LNBTI, Mr. Dilshan Samarasekare, Director – LNBTI & Ms. Sameera Malawige, the Head of Partnerships took part in this special session.

DOLL FESTIVAL 2023 | HINAMATSURI

Today, LNBTI, The Japanese IT University celebrated the Dolls’ Day (Girls’ Day). Many enthusiastic students who are learning Japanese language for A/L and their teachers participated in this colorful event and experienced the true meaning of this festival. Iromi Sensei of LNBTI initiated this special event and with LNBTI undergraduate students accompanying Iromi sensei to make this event successful. During the session, the invited students were able to get to know about what Hinamatsuri is, and how and why this day is celebrated in Japan. Also, the LNBTI students conducted an Origami session along with a green tea refreshment arrangement. The invited students and teachers praised LNBTI for conducting such a meaningful cultural event as this is the first time they experienced a Dolls’ Day in Sri Lanka
