LNBTI met the Principals, Vice Principals, A/L ICT and Japanese teachers of the leading schools in Bandarawela and Badulla at Bandarawela Hotel to present the opportunities in Japan for Sri Lankan students, as LNBTI is able to offer a permanent and a professional Job upon completion of Hons degree programs in IT. As the IT industry is grooming in Japan and the requirement for many IT professionals, Sri Lankan students can benefit from this opportunity by becoming IT graduates with the fluency of Japanese Language. Prof Ananda Kumara explained the unique Japanese Job oriented degree model introduced to students after O/Ls & A/Ls. Prof Ananda Kumara, the Vice Chancellor – LNBTI, Ms. Shima Yuka san who is a Specialist in Japanese Labor Law and Welfare, currently working in the Kagoshima Prefectural Office, Mr Yoneda Ichiro sensei – the Native Japanese lecturer of LNBTI, Mr. Dilshan Samarasekare, the Director of LNBTI & Ms. Sameera Malawige, the Head of Partnerships took part in this special session.

LNBTI organised a special workshop for the students of Vishaka Balika Madya Maha Vidyalaya – Bandarawela and met the Principal, A/L teachers and students to present the opportunities in Japan for Sri Lankan students, as LNBTI is able to offer a permanent and a professional Job upon completion of Hons degree programs in IT. LNBTI organised a special interactive session for the students of Vishaka Vidyalaya Bandarawela. It was a well-spent day, as the school A/L students had a really good time interacting with Ms. Shima Yuki san. Ms. Shima Yuki san is a Specialist in Japanese Labor Law and Welfare, currently working in the Kagoshima Prefectural Office.At this meet-up, Mr Yoneda Ichiro sensei – the Native Japanese lecturer of LNBTI, Prof Ananda Kumara, the Vice Chancellor – LNBTI, Mr. Dilshan Samarasekare, Director – LNBTI & Ms. Sameera Malawige, the Head of Partnerships were also present.

Special Informative Session by Ms. Yuki Shima from Japan

These special sessions were held on April 31st and May 1st respectively by Ms. Shima Yuki san who is a Specialist on Japanese Labor Law and Welfare, currently working in the Kagoshima Prefectural Office. Students and parents who are keen to get to know about the opportunities available for foreigners from the government joined this seminar, virtually and physically.

LNBTI Sinhala & Tamil New Year Celebrations 2023

The annual ‘Avurudu’ Celebration of “LNBTI – Japanese IT University” organized by the Students Activity Club & Japanese Senseis of LNBTI was brought to a successful conclusion at the ‘President’s College playground, Maharagama on 7th April 2023. The event was compromised of various traditional games and delicacies and also it was a colorful and vivacious event. The main guests of the event were the Directors of LNBTI; Mr. Ravindra Perera & Mr. Dilshan Samarasekara. Special gratitude goes to the Japanese Department including Ms. Ishara Hettiarachchi, Ms. Supipi Lakprabha, & Ms. Chamodi for organizing such events with the contribution of Students’ support. Also, to grace this occasion the Academic & Non-Academic staff were present. Students and staff members participated in traditional Awurudu games such as Kana mutti bidima, Tug of War (kamba adeema), spot the elephant’s eye (aliyata aha thabima), Hat passing, Sack race, Banis kema, the crowning of Avurudu Kumaraya & Kumariya and many other traditional games. The event was successfully concluded with a DJ party by mingling the youth and vibe with pure Sri Lankan tradition.
