LNBTI Japanese IT University is delighted to announce the official appointment of Mrs. Yamashita as a Visiting Professor of LNBTI.
Mrs. Yamashita brings to LNBTI a distinctive combination of experience in English education, intercultural communication, Japanese culture, and global learning. Her academic activities have included university-level teaching in Japan, including at Kindai University, while she has also been associated with Kyoto University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer.
Academic and Educational Contributions
Mrs. Yamashita has also contributed to educational publishing. In 2025, she co-authored and edited Science for Tomorrow together with Professor Keiko Hattori, Yumi Hasegawa, and Robert Perkins.
Published by Kinseido, the book combines English language learning with contemporary topics in science, technology, society, and the environment, providing students with an engaging approach to developing both language skills and global awareness.
Contribution to LNBTI Academic Activities
Mrs. Yamashita’s engagement with LNBTI was especially visible during activities connected with the JASPER Research Symposium 2026.
On 9 September 2026, she joined Professor Keiko Hattori in conducting a professional development programme for LNBTI Japanese language lecturers. The session created an important opportunity for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of perspectives on Japanese language education, culture, and teaching practices.
Her contribution continued on 10 September 2026, when she took a leading role in the Japanese Culture & Tea Ceremony Workshop organised for LNBTI students and visiting school students.
Through live demonstrations and cultural explanations, Mrs. Yamashita introduced participants to the meaning behind the Tea Ceremony, including its carefully observed etiquette, the relationship between host and guest, and the values represented through each stage of the ceremony.
Welcoming Mrs. Yamashita to LNBTI
It is our great pleasure to welcome Mrs. Yamashita to the LNBTI academic community. We look forward to a meaningful and inspiring association in the years ahead.
Welcome to LNBTI, Mrs. Yamashita!
