LNBTI Conducts “Ratama Ekata” Drug Prevention Workshop in Collaboration with NDDCB

LNBTI Japanese IT University successfully conducted the “Ratama Ekata” Drug Prevention Workshop on 30 September 2026, in collaboration with the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB), promoting awareness and encouraging students to make informed and responsible decisions.

The programme featured Mr. Pradeep Kumara, Deputy Director of NDDCB, as the guest speaker, who shared valuable insights into drug prevention and the importance of building a healthy, responsible, and informed society.

Promoting Awareness and Responsible Choices

A total of 227 students participated in the programme. Of these, 141 students attended physically at the City Campus, while 86 students joined online via Zoom from their classrooms at the Main Campus.

The workshop addressed important topics related to drug prevention, including understanding the risks and consequences of substance use, resisting peer pressure, making responsible decisions, developing healthy coping strategies, and seeking professional support when needed.

Working Towards a Drug-Free Nation

Through this initiative, LNBTI aims to empower students with the knowledge and awareness needed to make healthy choices, respond confidently to challenging situations, and contribute positively to society.

The collaboration with NDDCB highlights the importance of educational institutions and national organisations working together to promote youth wellbeing, prevention awareness, and a safer future.

Prevention begins with awareness. Awareness begins with us.
