Career Development Hub of LNBTI Hosts Seminar on Japanese Workplace Culture

The Career Development Hub of LNBTI recently organized a seminar in collaboration with Japanese Work Organizations, providing students with valuable insights into Japanese workplace culture. The session was led by Mr. Tomoaki Takahashi, Managing Director of ZeroOne Co., Ltd., who shared his extensive experience in the tech industry. After studying Information Technology, Mr. Takahashi founded ZeroOne Co. in 2006 and successfully navigated the challenges posed by the Lehman Shock to rebuild and grow the company.

In his presentation, Mr. Takahashi explored the concept of embedded systems, their future, and the technologies necessary for their development. He also introduced the concept of Society 5.0, emphasizing the integration of cyberspace and physical space to address social issues and promote economic growth.

Additionally, Mr. Takahashi provided guidance on how to become a suitable candidate for a Japanese company. He highlighted the importance of communication skills, loyalty, teamwork, and a strong desire for personal growth. He also discussed the characteristics of Japanese corporate culture, including the emphasis on time management, professionalism, and the seniority-based system.

The seminar, attended by LNBTI faculty and staff, provided students with valuable perspectives on the dynamics of Japanese companies. It equipped them with essential knowledge for pursuing careers in Japan’s unique work environment, offering a comprehensive understanding of Japanese corporate practices.
