LNBTI Japanese IT University proudly celebrates the success of INFERNOX 1.0 – 2026, an inter-school hackathon that brought together some of Sri Lanka’s most talented young innovators.
Presented by LNBTI, INFERNOX 1.0 brought together 30 schools and 60 teams, providing students with an inspiring platform to demonstrate their creativity, technological knowledge, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
The competition reached its grand finale on July 3, 2026, where 15 schools and 22 outstanding teams competed for the championship title. With a total prize pool of LKR 1 million, the competition highlighted the remarkable potential of Sri Lanka’s next generation of technology innovators.
Congratulations to the Winners
Champion – Trinity College Kandy
Trinity College Kandy secured the championship title and the LKR 500,000 grand prize, demonstrating outstanding innovation, teamwork, and technical creativity throughout the competition.
1st Runner-Up – Ave Maria Convent, Negombo
Ave Maria Convent achieved an impressive 1st Runner-Up position, showcasing creativity, teamwork, and a strong passion for technology and innovation.
2nd Runner-Up – Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya
Dharmapala Vidyalaya earned the 2nd Runner-Up title through their dedication, creativity, teamwork, and commitment to developing innovative solutions.
From advanced IoT solutions to innovative technology projects, the finalist teams demonstrated capabilities that went far beyond the traditional school level.
LNBTI is proud to have provided a platform where young students could spark ideas, build solutions, embrace technology, and shine through innovation.
