Burn with Brilliance. \nInfernoX 1.0 is a structured\, multi-phase inter-school hackathon designed to encourage school students to build real solutions to real problems – not just random projects. This competition blends creativity\, coding\, collaboration and impact-oriented problem solving into a single exciting and educational experience. \n\nWhat is InfernoX 1.0?\nInfernoX 1.0 is an inter-school hackathon built around real problem-solving. Instead of generic projects\, students are encouraged to identify real-world issues and design impactful technological solutions using innovative thinking and teamwork. \n  \nThe Problem We’re Solving\nMany student projects lack real problem focus\, making them less impactful. InfernoX 1.0 addresses this by guiding participants through a structured process: register → submit a problem proposal → get shortlisted → present → build and demo a working solution. \n  \nCompetitive Tracks\nParticipants must choose a track and build an AI or tech solution with real-world value. \n\nEducation & Skill Development: Tools/platforms to enhance learning and accessibility\nDisaster Management & Resilience: Systems for preparedness\, response and recovery\nRenewable Energy & Efficiency: Solutions for solar\, wind\, bioenergy and sustainability\nAI for Post-Harvest Management: Tools to predict storage needs and reduce spoilage\nOpen Innovation: Any original tech/AI idea that solves a real problem\n\n  \nEvent Timeline\n\nOfficial Launch: 8 February 2026\nRegistrations: 12 – 28 February 2026\nProposal Submission: 8 February – 10 March 2026\nProposal Review & Shortlisting: 10 – 22 March 2026\nPhase I – Proposal Presentation: 31 March 2026\nPhase II – Project Demonstration (Finals): 30 May – 5 June 2026\n\n  \nPrizes & Recognition\nAll finalists will receive certificates. DESCRIPTION:  \nPresented by LNBTI Japanese IT University\, InfernoX 1.0 Inter-School Hackathon Competition brought together 30 schools and 60 teams\, creating an inspiring platform for young innovators to showcase their talent\, creativity\, and technological skills. \nOn July 3rd\, we celebrated the Grand Finale of InfernoX 1.0\, Sri Lanka’s largest inter-school hackathon\, where 15 schools and 22 outstanding teams competed for the championship title. \nFeaturing the largest prize pool of Rs. 1 million ever offered in Sri Lanka’s school hackathon history\, InfernoX 1.0 highlighted the incredible potential of the next generation. From advanced IoT solutions to cutting-edge technology projects\, the grand finalist teams showcased innovations that went far beyond the school level. \nLNBTI is proud to support and inspire future innovators\, and we look forward to organizing many more impactful initiatives in the years ahead. \nCongratulations to all the young innovators\, teachers\, schools\, and everyone who contributed to the success of InfernoX 1.0!
