LNBTI Students Shine at Japanese Embassy Celebration!

On March 28, 2025, ten talented LNBTI students performed the traditional Bon Odori dance, Tokyo Ondo, at the “Departure for the Future of Sri Lanka and Japan” concert held at the Japanese Embassy in Sri Lanka.
Originally composed to uplift Tokyo after the Great Kanto Earthquake nearly a century ago, Tokyo Ondo remains a beloved Bon dance song today. The students showcased their graceful performance, accompanied by traditional Japanese instruments, under the expert guidance of Sadoi Sensei and Koizumi Sensei from LNBTI’s Japanese Language Department.
This remarkable performance celebrated cultural exchange and strengthened the bond between Sri Lanka and Japan.
