JAGCE SIG on Educational Interworking Online Event 2022
The Japan Association for Global Competence Education (JAGCE), successfully organized their 2nd Online International Event for this year on 22nd Oct, 2022. Hundreds of students from East Asia & South Asia joined this International Conference. Out of them, 20 Sri Lankan students were able to represent Sri Lanka with the guidance of Prof. Ananda Kumara, the Vice Chancellor of LNBTI & the President of JAGCE 2022
Students from Royal College, Visaka Vidyalaya, Sumedha College, Henegama Central College, Yoshida Shokanji International School & LNBTI undergraduates took part in this session.
As a preparation for the conference, every student prepared a 30s of a simple video under their favourite topics (A self-introduction, my favourite place, my pet etc)
During the conference, the students were put into different meeting rooms where they can express their thoughts in both Japanese and English on different topics. The young audience spoke very fluently on those topics and was praised by everyone at the Conference. (Eg. World’s Economic disasters, Health Issues, Food issues, Crimes & terror, Accidents, Problems in Cyberspace etc)
