Lanka Nippon BizTech Institute (LNBTI) has been accredited as a degree awarding institute for its unique IT degree programme, BSc (Hons) Software Engineering. LNBTI becomes Sri Lankaβs first and only Japanese Higher Education Institute to feature a Japanese job-oriented programme, approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE).
The launching ceremony of the Ministry of Education approved the first Japanese Industry Oriented degree programme was held on the 15thΒ September 2022 from 9.00am to 11.00am at LNBTI premises Maharagama in a grand scale. Hon Dinesh Gunawardena Prime Minister of Sri Lanka and Hon. Mizukoshi Hiheaki the Ambassador of the Japanese Embassy in Sri Lanka graced this important occasion with the presence of many representatives from government institutions, universities, leading IT corporations and private & public schools. This in turn has created a network to supplement the various industrial internships offered in LNBTIβs degree programs; most of which inevitably retain graduates as part of their permanent cadre. LNBTI is the first to introduce this type of βstudy in Sri Lanka and work in Japan as an IT professionalβ model in Sri Lanka.
