This International Interactive session on the “Border-less round table in the era of Digital transformation” was held on 26th February 2022 (8.30am – 10.30am SLST) with the participation of school students of Japan, Sri Lanka, Northern Mariana Islands, Marshall Islands, Thailand, Vietnam and Bangladesh for the 3rd consecutive time via Zoom.
The young people from several countries got a chance to discuss their daily life patterns in their different like styles (i.e., food, fun, learning, hobbies etc.) to feel and understand cultural diversity, different languages, common thoughts and wishes of people through this new form of international exchange.
This program was allowed the participants to create a set of values which would lead them for a brighter future in the era of digital transformation. This Project was content with two sessions
- 1st session – Prerecorded movie exchange (using “Flipgrid”) which was created by participants. The movie session is about their cultural activities. Eg: The Sri Lankan students were presenting about Sri Lankan Cricket, Sri Lankan Food and also about Sinhala and Hindu New Year Festival.
- 2nd Session – Real-time communication session. In this session participants were put into breakout rooms and gave them a chance to exchange their thoughts with other country students. Eg: Greetings, Oral presentation by delegates on Zoom, Casual meeting in a small room on Zoom.At the End of the Interactive Session the remarks were given by the organizing committee and a Group Picture was taken with all the participants.
